Slowly, he moves his hand up and down the length of her back as she cries. It's awkward, and he's never sure if he's helping, but when he hears her speak again he just nods.
"No, he shouldn't have," he agrees, chin fitted against the top of her head. "But you've gotta figure he knows that now."
